Voopee Terms & Conditions of Usage
Voopee is the result of a joint research and technical development between a European mobile solution provider and a Malaysian mobile operator. Voopee is a new generation telco that offers a mobile social lifestyle and entertainment communication services that allows you to capture all your precious moments, express your feelings and your care for the environment. You can share your joyful events for all types of festivals, celebrations, concerts and happy occasions with your family and friends wherever they are, around the world using Voice (depending on subscriptions), SMS, MMS and IM for the time being.
Voopee may also offer you a sim-free mobile number, riding on your existing mobile data services with your local mobile operator that can allow you to make Voice Calls and SMS.
On Privacy Matters
Your privacy is important to us. Voopee respects your privacy and the confidentiality of your personal data, traffic data, and communications content.
We will inform you how Voopee uses and safeguard the information that you provide to us when you use Voopee Software and/or Voopee Services.
Voopee collects and processes, or has third party service providers who collect and process personal data on Voopee’s behalf, relating to you to enable Voopee in:
1. providing the Voopee Services, in particular to convey the communications you make by means of the Voopee Software and/or the Voopee Services;
2. may invoice you for your use of the Voopee Services; and
3. carrying out marketing and promotion activities related to Voopee Services.
Communications Content: means any information that is communicated by you when you use Voopee Software and/or Voopee Services including Voice calls or SMS terminated via cellular network, 3G data, WiFi, etc. or IM through Voopee or 3rd party providers supported through the Voopee Service;
Feedback Information: means any information that is reported to Voopee by filling in the feedback e-forms on the Website;
Passive Information: means any information that is necessary in order to provide you with the desired functions of the Voopee Software, such as but not limited to session ID tokens, source and destination addressing information, and the version of the software you are using;
Personal Data: means any information that Voopee possesses in relation to an identified or identifiable user of Voopee Software and/or Voopee Services;
Registration Information: means any information provided when you voluntarily registering on the Website, including, but not limited to, username, ID and password;
Voopee: means it is the brand name, logo, trademark and/or the company registered with the relevant Authorities in the countries where applicable.
Voopee Software: means the software that allows you to communicate with any telephone number in the world via cellular network, 3G data, WiFi, etc., send SMS, IM, MMS and other communications that can be supported by Voopee and back-up of mobile data. The Services may be extended or altered from time to time;
Subscriber Information: means any information required in order to verify your identity and to provide you with the Voopee Services, such as but not limited to your name, ID, billing information, email address and/or mobile number as provided by you on the Website;
User Profile: means any information about you as provided by you on the Website or through the Voopee application, that you intend to share with other users of Voopee users, and/or can be searched for by other Voopee users, and/or (only with the your approval) can be added to another user’s contact list, including the user’s own Contact List;
Voopee Services: means the free and also the payable services provided by Voopee and/or Voopee’s partners, including but not limited to, termination of Voice calls (depending on your subscriptions), sending of SMS, MMS, IM, Video calls, back-up, contents, advertisements and other Services which may be extended or altered from time to time;
Website: means the Voopee Website as found at http://www.voopee.com
You: means you, the user of the Voopee Software and the Voopee Services, also used in the form “your” where applicable.

1. What is Voopee and what Services are offer?
Voopee is a brand name, a logo and also a trademark. Through the mobile phone, Voopee offers you Voopee Software including its Voopee Services, which may be extended or altered from time to time.
2. What information does Voopee collect?
Voopee collects and processes the following information:
• Registration Information, i.e. mobile number
• User Profile
• User identity
• Email Address
• Subscriber Information
3. How does Voopee use this information and for what purpose?
Voopee may use the information to:
• Provide the Services and customer support you may request
• Resolve disputes
• Collect Sign-on fees and annual subscriptions for Voopee Paid Services only
• Troubleshoot problems
• Customise, measure, and improve Voopee Software, Services, mobile and Website content and layout
• Inform you about targeted marketing, service updates, and promotional offers
• Compare information for accuracy, and to verify your identity
• Provide other Services for you as described when we collect the information
• Register Information
You need to register to use Voopee Software, and Registration Information may be needed if you want to use a particular Voopee Services, especially requesting for a sim-free mobile number.
4. To whom does Voopee transfer your personal information?
Except as provided below, Voopee will not sell, rent, trade or otherwise transfer any Personal and/or Traffic Data to any third party without your explicit permission, unless obliged to do so under applicable laws or by order of the competent Authorities.
In order to provide Voopee Services or other services you have requested, Voopee may sometimes, if necessary, share your Personal and Traffic Data with Voopee’s Affiliates (as defined in the End User License Agreement), carriers, partner services providers and/or agents, for example the providers of access mobile numbers, distributors of Voopee Software and/or Voopee Services and/or the third party banking and credit card payment organisations or other providers of payment services. Voopee will always require these third parties to take appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect your Personal Data and Traffic Data and to observe the relevant legislation.
In the event of a designated competent Authority requesting Voopee or Voopee’s local partner to retain, to access or to intercept communications, Voopee and/or its local partner will abide to local legislation and the competent Authority to provide all necessary assistance and information when obliged to fulfill this request.
Information collected on the mobile and Website may be stored and processed in any country in which Voopee maintains facilities.
Voopee also reserves the right to transfer information outside of your country. By using Voopee Software or Voopee Services you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country. As Voopee continues to develop its business, Voopee may sell its business and/or to buy subsidiaries or business units. In such transactions, as well as in the event that Voopee or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, personal information of Voopee users can likely be a transferred business asset. We reserve the right to include your Personal Information, collected as an asset, in any such transfer to a third party.
5. How does Voopee protect your personal information?
Voopee shall take appropriate measures to protect the Personal Data and Traffic Data provided by you and will not retain this data any longer than permitted in order to perform its Services or as required under relevant legislation. Your Personal and Traffic Data will only be accessed by authorised employees of Voopee and only when this is required in order to fulfill their given duties.
Voopee shall take appropriate measures to protect the confidentiality of the Communications Content via its Voopee Software and Voopee Services, with due observance of the applicable obligations and exceptions under the relevant legislation.
6. Can these Terms and Conditions of Usage be modified?
Voopee reserves the right to modify the provisions of this Terms and Conditions of Usage, at any time and from time to time, if deemed necessary. We will inform you of these changes by publishing the revised Terms and Conditions of Usage at http://www.voopee.com. The revised Terms and Conditions of Usage shall come into effect within two (2) days of such publishing. Your continued use of the Voopee Software or Voopee Services after the notice period of two (2) days shall constitute your acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions of Usage. Please note that any revision that may require a change in a financial commitment from you (with the exception of changes due to currency fluctuations) will be explicitly communicated via your latest email address that was kept in our system. However, in the event that you have changed your email address, it will be your sole responsibility to inform us as soon as practicable.
7. What rights do you have and how can you contact Voopee?
If you would like to exercise your right to view, correct, complete or remove your Personal Data, please contact Voopee at email@example.com. Voopee will fulfill your request within a reasonable period of time and upon verification of your identity, provided that the action taken by Voopee on your request does not contravene any applicable legislations.
8. How long is your Personal Data kept by Voopee?
Voopee will retain your information for as long as is necessary to:
1. perform the Voopee Services;
2. invoice you for your use of the Voopee Services and until invoicing for the Voopee Services cannot be lawfully challenged and legal proceedings may no longer be pursued;
3. carry out Voopee marketing and promotional activities;
4. comply with applicable legislations, regulatory requests and relevant orders from competent courts;
5. enforce our Terms of Services; and/or
6. fulfill any of the other purposes detailed in this Terms and Conditions of Usage.
